Housing price standard in Russia: 116,000 rubles ($1533) per square meter

 


The Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Utilities has set a new standard for the price per square meter of housing for the first half of 2026. The price will now be over 116,400 rubles ($1533), a 2% increase from 113,700 rubles in the second half of 2025.

The ministry also approved the average market price of housing by region for the first quarter of 2026. The highest rates were recorded in Chukotka – 265,000 rubles per square meter; in Moscow – almost 202,000 rubles; as well as in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (184,600 rubles), Primorsky Krai (178,100 rubles), and Kamchatka Krai (175,800 rubles).

According to the Ministry of Construction, the lowest housing prices are in Kabardino-Balkaria (55,500 rubles) and Ingushetia (59,500 rubles).

These standards are used to calculate social benefits for citizens purchasing or building housing using federal budget funds.
